When I began to blog, I envisioned this flood of comments to what I had to say and that I would have to stay up late to read all the responses…
That has not happened…(yet)
Then, I thought that commenting upon other bloggers’ thoughts that matched mine would bring some sparking banter between writers….
That has not happened…(yet)
Then, I almost choked on my M and M’s when I did get a comment~!
(Family is so wonderful to respond) =)
I have visited delightful, serene, poetic, humorous blogs, and have felt enlightened and ready to comment on their beautiful words, left my John Hancock, and returned when I could…. I also have tiptoed into some raging, verbal, static blogs, but—hey! They ALL are interesting~!
I am not sure if I am just un-interesting in my posts, however, I would love to hear from any and ALL of you out there in the Blogesphere to tell me so….Tell me if you think that my ideas are out in “left field” or “right on”.
In a discussion about comments, it was mentioned to me that perhaps people are shy for some reason. Maybe they want to remain anonymous? And, you know what? That is perfectly OK, and I would love to read your stand. But, gee whiz, we wouldn’t be out here in the vapors if we didn’t want to communicate, huh?
Oh, it certainly won’t stop me from spilling the words upon the screen, letting you know what is on my mind…but, it sure would be NICE TO MEET YOU…
Well, let me know what you feel,…..
That hasn’t happened…(YET…..) =)

I’m enjoying your blog. I can’t speak for others, but I tend to read a blog for a while before I comment. That way, if I decide not to continue reading it, I don’t hurt someone’s feelings by never commenting again. Also, some days I’m just too lazy to leave comments.
Thanks for stopping by to visit my blog….your comment brought me here. I understand your frustration about not getting comments.
I usually do the same thing that Betty said….when I find a new blog on my own I usually read it for a few days anonymously to see if I have a real interest in it over time. Then when I’ve decided I do I will begin to leave comments. Not just once, but I continue to leave comments. If after awhile I get no response back from that blogger then I figure they aren’t interested and move on.
Most of the time that doesn’t happen. People almost always respond. We all like to get comments. We like validation.
When someone comments on my blog I send an email response if they provide that or I visit their blog in return. I feel that’s only courteous.
