Indeed, GREETINGS~!!
On October 8th I had cataract surgery and FINALLY I am back blogging and beginning to go blog-hoppin’~! It has been a series of Doc appointments and such, but —-hey—-I am on the mend~!!
I truly have missed EVERYONE’S blogs~!!! I know it will be a while to get caught up, but I shall be leavin’ notes all over the place…*smile*….
So, keeping with the theme of October, today’s WORD is ……..
“JACKOLANTERN”…….
Have fun, and I hope for tons of responses~!!!

Autumn is here and the days are so much cooler
Brisk winds scatter the beautiful golden leaves
The sky is still pure blue and the fluffy clouds lovely
Squirrels coats thicken and birds fortify their nests
Pumpkins grow large and lovely
Kids begin to plan their Hallowe’en persona
Parents plan their candy purchases with a smile
Hallowe’en a party time for kids and adults
I am so happy to have been chosen to be carved
Now I have a bright smile and glowing eyes
I greet all visitors and my smile will be remembered
HAPPY HALLOWE’EN 2009 JACK O’LANTERN
Happy Word Wednesday to all and especially our
wonderful Margaret
Jack-o-lantern on the table-
I’m gonna carve you if I’m able
With missing teeth and hollow eyes
and make a Halloween surprise!
Your face will light up every night
Funny and scary and oh so bright-
Until you shrivel into a blurb-
Then I’ll kick you to the curb!
Oh! Aren’t I cruel?!
So happy you are back, Margaret!
Let’s blog!
JACKOLANTERN, JACKOLANTERN where art thou,
why sitting at the door step making a scowl…
The wind is howling and the night is near,
just perfect for some wintertime fear…
So get in the house and lock up the doors,
listen – did you hear that creak from the upstairs floor???
I peer out the window and much to my dismay,
A creature is staring back at me as if I were prey!
Ah Jacko Lantern so round and rotund
ready for some fun–
Wearing a wide grin brightened by the light within–
Greeting all the passers-by with a smile 0h so sly
What lies behind the door that he guards so well?
would it be spirits or wizards oh so scary?
or undiscribable beasts so hairy. witches or warlocks that
cast their spells putting all who visit in a spin–
Onlookers say—I know where you’ve been—–
