Mooooooooooooooo!!!
I know just how the cow feels. LOL. I just ate the last of the pecan pie...so it wouldn't be around to tempt me. Hoping that makes sense.

Everything was so good. It was a perfect Thanksgiving. I have to save room for Christmas dinner....won't be long, you know.

happy Holidays to all!!!

What a fun write --- and yes we ALL over-indulged and soooo enjoyed the food. I mainly enjoyed pecan pie with whipped cream --- yummers!!!

I think the Mediterranean diet would be good; I have used it before and if you like veggies it is good!!!!

Happy Monday and away we go for the end of year Holidays!!!

I feel your pain! I'm dragging old elastic sweats out of the closet just to accommodate the extra girth I acquired over the weekend!
But I've decided not to wait till January. I'm on a mission now and hope I can lose a little by Christmas!
I've missed you. Hope all is well.

Wild boar is delicious -------actually. In some cultures the beast is wrapped in vegetation and mud . It is cooked in the ground wrapped in hot coals . when done the meat falls off the bones. Scandanavians choose whole fish often salmon.
cooked in much the same way. It''s all the same -really.
Good food ,good people much to be thankful for. Too all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!!!!

Okay, Margaret- I'm going to use both TURKEY and WILD BOAR for my Words Wednesday comment:

I spend all morning roasting the turkey, making pies, whipping up side dishes, preparing desserts. washing dishes, adjusting the thermostat between hot flashes, feeding the dog, refereeing the grand kids- and THEN
all those TURKEYs that didn't lift a finger, gather round and gorge themselves and make a giant mess! Then, when I complain, I'm considered a WILD BOAR (Bore)!

Ooops! Timer's going off! Or..wait a minute...No- it's the smoke alarm! :)
Have a perfectly delicious feast!
Hugs!

In my opinion, turkeys are extremely mean and aggressive creatures, who get what they deserve every November!

I find it hard to produce any pity for their annual feather pluckings, in order to sit pretty on my polished dining room table, beside Aunt Jenny's jello-mold. In fact, I look forward to the experience every year. Lean in, so I can tell you why.

While visiting the home of a friend in a farm setting, as a teenager I found myself being chased by a crazed ornamental male turkey. While making ugly clucking noises and running as fast as he could, he was in a high speed chase to catch-up with me. I had no idea why!

Running like the wind, I was desperate to escape my wobbly gizzard friend. With my head twisted backward to keep an eye on what he was up to, I tripped on a old rusted feed bucket blocking my path. As I fell to the ground, my focused feather friend took a large chunk out of my favorite button-up 501 Levi jeans and my pink little ass too!

After seeking medical treatment at the emergency room, I left the hospital with a set of 10 stitches in my caboose and a bright pink donut to sit on for the next several
weeks. Now I walk around this world with a terrible phobia of suddenly being assaulted by a wild-eyed, feather creature wielding a sharp pointy beak!

Happy Thanksgiving to all those lucky little turkeys!
